Dawn: Wants to welcome every one back to a new school year! Applications for elementary school will be sent out the week of Halloween for next school year, and will be due back by Decmber 1, 2009. You can contact Dawn at DawnA@vmh.com for questions.
Amy: Our new social worker at the Pingree Center ! Welcome! Pingree will be having its first Parent Conference on November 18-19, 2009. Flyers to go out mid-October. Will be having different school districts coming to share what public school programs are like in the different districts.
Laurel: The Bees Baseball fundraiser game in August was a success! We raised $27,000.
Next big fundraiser for the school is the Chili Open. This year there will be a Winter Festival Theme with family friendly activities! So it is a chance to have the whole family be a part of this event! It will be on January 30th, 2010 at Wheeler Farm. We will need volunteers to help this day at Wheeler Farm, so if you are available please contact Melissa at mbc715@gmail.com.
Also, we are looking for sponsers for the Chili Open. Sponserships start at $350.00 and is a great way for businesses to show community support since the Chili Open supports 9 charities. There will be banners and media spots available to sponsers.
Remember all money raise through the Chili Open comes right back to support Pingree. It provides money for scholarships and helps the school.
The Gala dinner & silent auction for the Chili Open is Jan 29th. It is $75.00/person to attend, and you can also purchase cooperate tables.
Also, Pingree is responsible for 17 baskets and 2 live auction items for the Gala dinner. If you are able to get donations for these baskets or would like to help put them together, please contact Melissa at mbc715@gmail.com
Tickets for the drawing that is held during the Chili Open will be available soon. They will be $2.00/each or $6.00 for 10 tickets. All the money raised from the auction and ticket sales comes right back to the school. Please try to help the school out by participating some way in this fundraiser!
Parking fundraiser: Volunteers are still needed to help park cars for the following Utah footbal games, Sept 26, Oct 24, Oct 31, Nov 7, and Nov 21. We raised $1700 from the first game alone! Please contact Kathy at ppsajewelry@gmail.com

Sahara Cares Autism Carnival: Is this coming Saturday, September 19th from 11-2 at Wheeler Farm. Please register at saharacares.org to attend this event. We do need volunteers to help at the PPSA booth at the carnival in 1 hour shifts. If you can help please contact Melissa at mbc715@gmail.com
The Family Fun Fair will be on October 15, 2009 from 5-7 pm. We need volunteers to help set up and clean up. Look for the flyer on this event soon. Contact Melissa if you can help.
Teacher luncheons will only be done this year for holidays. If a parent wants to head up a luncheon, please contact Melissa.
This year on December 2, 2009, we will be holding a Holiday Booth Boutique as a fundraiser for the school. Anyone can have a booth for $50.00 and then keep all there own profits. If you are intersted in having a booth at the boutique please contact Melissa at mbc715@gmail.com
