Welcome Back!

Welcome to a new school year at Pingree. If you are a new parent, welcome to the school, and we hope that you and your child enjoy your experience here! A good way to be involved with your child`s school is through the PPSA, so welcome to our blog.

Currently the school is almost full in both the elementary and preschool. A few spots are open that should be filled shortly as additional students are evaluated and accepted.

We have a new social worker this year, Sara, that we are excited to have. She is planning a Parent Support Night for sometime in October as well as a Sibling Support Group. More information to come on both of these. You can get a hold of Sara at Sarab@vmh.com or 801-883-5357.

The PPSA will be holding it`s annual Family Fun Fair on October 7, 2011 from 1 pm intil 4 pm. Please join us for this fun back to school event. A light lunch will be provided, along with bounce house for the kids. We also plan to have booths this year for the adults to shop and gather information at. If you know of anyone that would like to have a booth at this event for $25.00, please contact Melissa at mbc715@hotmail.com or 801-347-0771.

The PPSA is looking for volunteers to help with parking for Utes football games. It only takes a couple of hours of your time and is a great way to help the school. The next home games are October 1, October 8, and October 29th. If you can help, contact Melissa at mbc715@hotmail.com or 801-347-0771.

If you can help out at the PPSA sales table at the Sahara Cares Carnival this Saturday or on October 7th for the Family Fun Fair, please also contact Melissa.

One of PPSA`s first fundraisers, is selling Happenings books. Our goal is to sell at least 100 books! The books are $25.00 and can be picked up in the office or send in a check and we can send one home in your child`s backpack.

Chili Open: Januar 27 & 28, 2012

Just to let new parents know, the Chili Open is a huge fundraiser for the Pingree Center. It provides money for scholarships and classroom supplies. We are looking for businesses to sponser the Pingree center starting at $350.00 and up. Sponserships, depending on the amount, get perks including free tickets to the Gala dinner, free tickets for golf on Jan 28th and free advertisement. There will be a Family Fun Day at Wheeler Farm on January 28th with more info coming on ticket prices. We are also looking for donations from resturants, businesses, activity places, etc. to put in baskets that will be raffled off at the Gala dinner ao January 27th.
