From Dawn: One opening left in the elementary/secondary program for the 2013/2014 school year that will be filled soon after the applications are gone through.
New applications or renewal applications for the Cason Smith Scholarship will be due sometime in June. Usually the scholarship committee informs you in July as to how much scholarship you will receive. This past year it was $7040.
Summer school applications should go out next week. Summer school will start on July 8 and run for 3 weeks. School will be Monday-Thursday, 8:00 am until 1:00 pm. The cost is $1,000 for non-Medicare students.
Starting in June, there will be no more school on Fridays. School will continu to be 8 am until 2:45 pm Monday-Thursday.
Registration packets for the 2013/2014 school year should be out in June.
Cap and Gown pictures for students graduating into elementary or graduating from Pingree are next week.

From PPSA:
The Family Fun Fair will be May 18, 2013 from 12:00-3:00 pm. We will have bouncy houses, face painting, and a lite lunch. This event is free for Pingree families, so come and have fun!
There will be a book fair at the school the week of May 20th. The books will also be available to purchase during the Family Fun Fair.
Teacher Appreciation will be going on the week of May 20th also. We are having a Pirate Theme this year and will have a BBQ for the teachers on Thursday of that week. Donations of $10.00 gift cards to give to the teachers are needed. We will also need parent volunteers on Thursday to help in the classrooms so the teachers can enjoy their lunch.
We will be voting on a school t-shirt design at the next PPSA meeting. If you would like to vote on the design, please come to the next meeting.
